The PANDAA Lab takes on ADAA!

Two members of the PANDAA Lab, Blake Upshaw and Gabrielle Armstrong, traveled to Chicago in April to represent the lab at the Anxiety and Depression Association of America (ADAA) Annual Conference 2026.

Blake presented three posters on adolescent anxiety and BDD, social media use, and sleep. His poster, “Sleep as a Mediator Between Social Media Use Motivations and Anxiety Among Adolescents,” was selected as a Poster Spotlight (awarded to six), earning him an invited oral presentation.

Gabrielle presented her posters, “Racial and Ethnic Differences in the Associations between Alcohol Use Disorder and Aggression among Adolescents with PTSD,” and "Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder Symptom Profiles and Related Clinical Features in Sexual Minority Adults of Latino Descent."

While presenting their fantastic research, Blake and Gabby still found time to catch up with old colleagues, see the Bean, and catch a Chicago Cubs game at Wrigley Field!
