Kevin Hernandez

Kevin Hernandez is an accounting major on the pre-dental track from Greenwood, Mississippi. Growing up in the Delta sparked his interest in how local agricultural issues connect to the larger Gulf ecosystem. Through the Gulf Scholars Program, Kevin is considering a Gulf Impact Project on how flooding affects Delta farms and businesses, with the goal of exploring ways communities can become more resilient. He is excited to learn from scholars with different backgrounds while strengthening the research and problem-solving skills he hopes to carry into his future career.
