Eleanor Curtis
Major: Southern Studies
Eleanor Curtis is a Southern Studies major from New Orleans, Louisiana, with a lifelong connection to the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Inspired by her grandmother’s work creating a museum about coastal towns and their experiences with Hurricane Katrina, Eleanor hopes to preserve and share the region’s stories. For her Gulf Impact Project, she is considering a traveling exhibit highlighting the beauty, history, and resilience of Mississippi’s coastal communities. She is excited to explore how geography shapes the region’s culture and art while creating something that helps others better understand and appreciate the Gulf Coast.
