Research

Complex fluids such as micellar fluids have interesting properties and can support shear waves.  Typically, the study of the properties of such fluids, including phase transitions, is done using sophisticated and expensive tools such as scanning electron microscopes.  In our lab, we study the properties of these fluids using ultrasound, a much more inexpensive technology.  We study phase transitions and ultrasonic properties of the fluid.
