The primary thrust of the Ultrasonics and Complex Fluids Research Group is the physics of ultrasonically mediated phenomena. This includes the study of the ultrasonic properties of soft matter such as mammalian soft tissue and complex fluids. We study the ultrasonic interaction with complex fluids probing phase transitions in these fluids. We also study signal propagation in heterogeneous, dispersive and viscoelastic media. The group is part of the Department of Physics and Astronomy and is housed in Lewis Hall on the Oxford campus of the University of Missisippi.
