The Tanner Lab experienced a proud and memorable moment this spring when our founder and principal investigator, Dr. Tanner, formally hooded her first cohort of PhD graduates, Drs. Hamadani, Dasayanke, and Chism. The event honored the accomplishments of three exceptional scholars who have each made a significant contribution to the lab's goal of advancing drug delivery, bioengineering, and physical chemistry.
From starting the lab to coaching her first graduating students, Dr. Tanner's path has been characterized by fortitude, vision, and scientific brilliance. In addition to pushing the limits of their individual research endeavors, these graduates have influenced The Tanner Lab's innovative and cooperative culture.
As they step into the next chapter of their scientific careers—whether in academia, industry, or beyond—they carry with them the legacy of being the lab’s pioneers, setting the standard for all who will follow. Their success is a testament to the power of mentorship, hard work, and the pursuit of knowledge.
Congratulations to our inaugural PhDs and to Dr. Tanner on this major career milestone. Here's to many more successes to come!
