De'ja Broyles

De’ja is a Clinical Psychology doctoral student from Arkansas and proud alumna of Oklahoma State University (Go Pokes!). She earned her master’s degree in Sport and Performance Psychology from University of Denver. Her research explores culture-specific coping and protective mechanisms that may help mitigate depression and suicidality among Black women. She has a particular interest in the mental health experiences of Black female athletes and is passionate about creating culturally affirming and community-centered research that uplifts and supports this population.
