Dylan Barker

Dylan Barker is an Evaluation Associate with the Center for Research Evaluation at the University of Mississippi, where he works across CERE’s K-12 portfolio on evaluation projects in education and workforce development.

Dylan has always been curious about people, communities, and the systems around them. That curiosity has shaped years of work in applied research and community-engaged programming, where he has used mixed-methods approaches to connect data with the experiences and perspectives of the communities behind it. His experience also includes building community-based health and education initiatives, leading programming with national philanthropic organizations, and collaborating with stakeholders throughout the Lafayette-Oxford-University (LOU) community.

His background in public health continues to shape how he approaches evaluation. Dylan believes evidence is most valuable when people can actually use it, and he values the knowledge that clients and communities bring to understanding their own programs. He is grateful for the opportunity to work alongside them, using evaluation to make sense of complex information, learn from implementation, and help programs grow and sustain their impact over time.

Dylan earned his Master of Public Health and Bachelor of Multi-Disciplinary Studies from the University of Mississippi.
