Landry Woodward Receives Award for Poster Presentation

Landry Woodward won Second Place for the undergraduate poster presentation at the Annual Mississippi Psychological Association Conference. Her poster focused on an examination of impulsivity in relation to facets of aggression among socially anxious individuals. We are so proud of her!

Sara Witcraft's Successful Dissertation Defense

Congrats to Dr. Sara Witcraft who successfully defended her dissertation in August 2021! Her dissertation was entitled Do Individuals With Functional Gastrointestinal Symptoms Experience Emotions Differently? An Examination of Emotional Responding During a Series of Emotion Induction Tasks.

Wrapping Up Spring 2021

The HART Lab officially wrapped up the spring semester with our last full lab meeting. We are celebrating the end of the academic year and congratulating all of our folks who are graduating!

Carson Schmitz awarded 2020 UM-SURF

Congrats to Carson! Carson Schmitz was awarded one of the 2020 UM-Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship, which supports her research endeavors over the summer. Her project is entitled Race and anxiety as predictors of e-cigarette use in college and community samples.

Outstanding Research Presentation Award Given

Gina Boullion received the Outstanding Research Presentation Award at the 2018 Annual UM Psychology Research Day for her talk entitled: Limited access to emotion regulation strategies influences depression among individuals with dermatological and body dysmorphic concerns.
